The rules for using AstroDristi

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and [Legal entity name], [registered office address], India ("AstroDristi", "we", "us"). They govern your use of the AstroDristi mobile application for Android and iOS (the "App"), our website, and the services offered through them: the daily brief, birth chart, Muhurta and Choghadiya timings, daily remedies and Drishti AI (together, the "Services").

By creating an account or using the Services you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Who can use AstroDristi

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract under Indian law. AstroDristi is not intended for children. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may close it and delete its data.

The Services are designed for users in India. If you use them from elsewhere, you are responsible for complying with your local laws.

2. Your account

You sign in with your Google account. We do not create or store a separate password for you.

You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your Google account and device secure. Tell us promptly at [support email] if you suspect unauthorised use.

Give accurate birth details (date, time and place of birth) and location. The accuracy of your chart, timings and guidance depends on them. If you do not know your birth time you can say so; your chart and brief will then be based on your Moon sign and nakshatra and will be less precise.

One account per person. You may not share or transfer your account.

3. The Services

AstroDristi gives you daily guidance based on classical Vedic astrology, calculated from your birth chart, your current planetary period (Dasha) and the day's Panchang for your location. The Services currently include:

• a daily brief with one clear action, a best time window, what to avoid, and a lucky colour, number and focus area;
• your birth chart (Rasi Kundali) in North or South Indian style, with planet-by-planet explanations;
• Muhurta and Choghadiya timings, Rahu Kaal and a Muhurta finder;
• a daily remedy from the tradition you choose: Vedic (North or South Indian), Lal Kitab or Jain; and
• Drishti AI, a chat companion that answers questions about your chart and today's brief.

The App requires Android 8 or later, or iOS 15 or later [confirm minimum versions]. We may add, change or withdraw features, and we may release updates that you need to install to keep using the App. We do not promise that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

4. Astrology: what it is and what it is not

Vedic astrology (Jyotish) is a traditional practice based on belief and cultural heritage. It is not a science in the modern sense and its predictions cannot be proven. Please read this section carefully.

Guidance in AstroDristi is provided for information, reflection and personal, cultural or spiritual interest only. We do not guarantee any outcome.

Nothing in the Services is medical, mental-health, legal, financial, investment, tax or safety advice. Do not use it in place of a qualified professional, and do not delay or stop treatment, or make major financial or legal decisions, because of what the App says.

Remedies are voluntary traditional practices. Never do anything that could harm you, other people or animals. Jain-tradition remedies are strictly animal-free.

Timings such as Choghadiya and Rahu Kaal are calculated for your stated location and depend on the accuracy of the location and date information. Check against a local almanac (Panchang) for religious observances.

All decisions you make remain your own responsibility. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services; do not rely on the App.

5. Drishti AI

Drishti is an AI system. It can make mistakes, may misunderstand your question, and may produce answers that are incomplete or inaccurate. It is not a person and is not a professional astrologer, doctor, lawyer or financial adviser.

To answer you, Drishti uses your chart snapshot, current Dasha, today's brief and recent messages (see Privacy Policy, section 5).

Do not enter passwords, card or bank details, government ID numbers or other highly sensitive information into the chat.

The free plan includes 3 Drishti sessions per month. Conversation history is kept for 7 days. We may change these limits and will tell you in the App.

We may limit, suspend or block use that appears abusive, harmful or an attempt to manipulate or extract the underlying system.

6. Your information and content

You own the information you give us (birth details, preferences, questions and feedback). You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host and process it only to provide, secure and improve the Services as described in the Privacy Policy.

Charts, briefs, narratives and AI answers are generated for you personally. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

Feedback and suggestions you send may be used by us without restriction or payment, but we will not publish your personal data without your consent.

7. Plans, payments and refunds

The daily brief, chart, Muhurta and remedies are free. We plan to offer a paid plan (for example, unlimited Drishti sessions). If and when paid plans launch:

• prices, billing period and what is included will be shown before you pay, and we will not charge you without your clear confirmation;
• prices are in Indian rupees (INR) unless shown otherwise and include applicable taxes such as GST [confirm];
• payments are processed by third-party payment partners (such as Razorpay or Stripe) or through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Their terms also apply and we do not store your full card details;
• subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time through the store or in the App, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; and
• refunds are handled under the relevant app-store policy and applicable consumer law.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Services for anything unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, harassing, hateful or deceptive;
• access, search or collect data from the Services by automated means (scraping, bots), or try to extract our calculation engine, remedy catalogue, prompts or models;
• reverse engineer, decompile, modify or interfere with the App, its security or its quota and rate limits;
• try to access another person's account, chart or conversations;
• use Drishti to generate unlawful, abusive or sexually explicit content, or attempt to manipulate it (for example, "prompt injection");
• upload malware or anything that could damage the Services or other users;
• resell the Services, or use outputs to offer astrology services to others for a fee, without our written permission; or
• impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with AstroDristi.

9. Intellectual property

The AstroDristi name, logo, App design, text, illustrations, software, remedy catalogue (as a compilation) and other content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by Indian and international law.

We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App for your own purposes. All other rights are reserved.

The classical astrological traditions themselves belong to everyone; our protection covers our selection, wording, design and software.

Astronomical calculations use the Swiss Ephemeris and other third-party components under their respective licences.

10. Third-party services

The Services rely on third parties, for example Google (sign-in), the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, location and place-search providers, cloud hosting, AI service providers and payment partners. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their services.

11. Notifications

With your permission we may send push notifications (for example, your morning brief or remedy reminders). You can turn them off at any time in your device settings or in the App.

12. Suspension and ending your account

You can stop using the Services at any time and can delete your account and data from the Profile screen or by writing to [privacy email].

We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if required by law, to protect the security of the Services or other users, or if we discontinue the Services (we will give reasonable notice where we can).

When your account ends, your right to use the App ends and we will delete or anonymise your data as set out in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by nature should continue, including sections 4, 9, 13, 14, 15 and 17, will continue.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that guidance, timings or AI answers are accurate, complete, suitable for your purpose, or that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising from your use of the Services or from decisions you make based on them.

Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Services in the 12 months before the claim and (b) INR [1,000].

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including for fraud or wilful misconduct.

15. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for losses, claims and reasonable costs that arise from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Services, to the extent permitted by law.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will give you notice in the App or by email at least [15] days before they take effect. If you keep using the Services after the effective date, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Please contact our Grievance Officer first (details in section 19). We will try to resolve your concern within 30 days.

Subject to any consumer rights you have to approach other forums, the courts at [city], [state], India have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms.

18. General

Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services.

Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

No waiver. If we do not enforce a right immediately, we have not given it up.

Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours in connection with a merger, sale or reorganisation.

Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.

Language. The English version of these Terms prevails if translated.
